Ann CosgroveAnn Cosgrove, COO, Saolta University Health Care GroupAnn Cosgrove is the recently appointed Chief Operating Office for the Saolta University Health Care Group, which is comprised of Galway University        Hospitals (University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital), Portiuncula Hospital, Roscommon Hospital, Mayo General Hospital, Sligo    Regional Hospital and Letterkenny General Hospital.
The Saolta Hospital Group employs provides health services to a population of over 800,000 people over almost one quarter of the country. It employs    over 9,250 staff and has a financial turnover of over €820 million. Ann has held a number of senior positions in Galway University Hospitals over 15    years and was most recently the GUH General Manager.

 Declan DevaneProfessor Declan Devane, Director, Health Research Board – Trial Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN)

Declan is Director of the Health Research Board-Trial Methodology Research Network, an Associate Editor with the Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth Group, an Associate Senior Lecturer with the UK Cochrane Centre and an author of numerous Cochrane systematic reviews predominantly in the field of fetal assessment. He has led a number of clinical trials recruiting from 100 to over 3000 participants and serves on a number of Trial Seering Committees and Data Monitoring Boards. He is a past member of the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee and the Midwives Committee of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. Currently, he is a member of the DOH National Maternity Care Strategy Group and HIQA’s Maternity Standards Advisory Group.


Maria Bridgeman, Head of Service, Health & Wellbeing & Interim Head of Service, Social Care, HSE Mid West Community Healthcare

Maria Bridgeman is the Head of Service in HSE Mid West (covering Limerick, Clare & North Tipperary) for Health & Wellbeing. Maria has a background in Nursing with wide experience across the community health care setting. She transitioned into Administration and led out on the development of the Cois Abhainn Primary Care Team, which was a pilot project of only 3 in the Country. She subsequently became one of the 3 Transformation Development Officers in the Mid West. She then progressed to General Manager for North Tipperary then on to Senior Operations Manager for Limerick and North Tipperary covering Primary Care and Social Care.

Maria took up her current role as Head of Service for Health & Wellbeing in July 2016 and also covered the role of Interim Head of Service for Social Care (Older Persons and Disability Services) from July to November 2016. Maria’s goal, in line with national goals, is to promote Healthy Ireland and health and wellbeing as part of everything she does so that people will be healthier.


Argon Hasani, Senior Medical Advisor, Novartis

Agron Hasani has been working with Novartis since 2007 in various functions. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Rijeka, Croatia after which he completed his internship there.

Having moved to Ireland, he commenced work with Novartis initially as a medical information officer covering a large portfolio of Novartis medicinal products. He was appointed as a Medical Advisor and more recently a Senior Medical Advisor covering hypertension, anti-infectives and more recently the Novartis Heart Failure portfolio. He holds a M.Sc. from Trinity College in Pharmaceutical Medicine
Agron has been involved in a number of clinical trials that have been conducted in Ireland. He is married and is a father of two children. 

Paul Foley, Bon Secours Health System
